Toys for Smart Cats

Here’s yet another source for fun and fabulous kitty toys: SmartCat.

SmartCat is on a mission to enhance a cat’s quality of life with products that stimulate her natural behavior. Conceived by Betsy Lipscomb, the range of products found on SmartCat are meant to meet a cat’s mental and physical needs, thereby outsmarting any behavior problems.

A portion of SmartCat sales is donated to Cats International, an organization offering reliable information to help cat lovers understand their kitties a little better.

What prompted Betsy to learn more about cat behavior? The practice of declawing. In her caring for cats, she noticed that declawing could cause not only physical pain, but psychological damage to cats.

A lot of controversy swirls around declawing in the cat lovers world—many feel strongly that the practice is detrimental to the quality of a cat’s life.

You can’t see that with my two declawed kitties. They are loved and love back. They display very happy demeanors, love to play and each expresses her unique personality in different ways.

But behavior issues could happen. Cats International and SmartCat could help.
